Safety at Smoked Out Spring BBQ

We want every fan to feel safe at the festival. Specific questions regarding safety, security, medical, and any others can be directed to admin@ungaffableproductions.com If you have an immediate need while on-site seek out any festival staffer, police, fire, or security personnel.

Details on the festival entry process will be available in early March 2022.

The safety of fans, artists and staff remains our top priority. SOS BBQ organizers are in regular communication with local health and public safety officials and will follow all current recommendations and guidelines in place at the time of the festival. As the festival approaches, SOS BBQ patrons will receive updates with important information regarding safety protocols, policies and procedures before entering Monterey County Fairgrounds, which will also be shared at www.ungaffableproductions.com, on social media and via the SOS BBQ email list.

Security Screening & Entry

For the safety of everyone entering the festival, all patrons are subject to a full and complete search prior to entry. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to submit to a full body pat-down and magnetometer screening before entry. If you would like to be screened by security personnel of your same gender, please let security personnel know prior to the search process. Screening of children will always take place with the consent of a parent or guardian. Persons that refuse to comply with the search policy will be refused entry into the event.

COVID-19 Warning

We have taken enhanced health and safety measures for you, our artists and employees. You must follow all posted instructions while attending Smoked Out Spring BBQ.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public space where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.

By attending Smoked Out Spring BBQ, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

Allowed & Prohibited

Guests and their belongings are subject to search upon entry. You can help keep the lines moving quickly by leaving large bags at home.

NO backpacks, purses or bags are allowed to be brought into the venue, EXCEPT for the following:

Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12.”
One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags, i.e. Ziploc bag or something similar;
Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand (and that do not exceed 4.5" x 6.5”), with or without a handle or strap; and
Clear plastic Hydration packs (empty upon entry), i.e. clear plastic CamelBak bag or something similar.

For the avoidance of doubt, iridescent, color-tinted, and opalescent bags are NOT allowed; they must be clear.

The safety of our fans and Event attendees is of paramount concern to the Event organizers. The Event organizers reserve the right to deny entry to any person or item the Event organizers and/or authorized security personnel deem(s) dangerous.

Ticket Policy

All sales are final - no refunds or exchanges
Only tickets purchased through Universe.com or Ungaffableproductions.com are valid. If you purchased from an unauthorized source and/or the ticket is counterfeit, you will not be allowed entry.
All ticket holders must pass through security and are subject to bag inspection. Prohibited items will be confiscated by event staff.

Festival Info, Dates, and Hours

Smoked Out Spring BBQ takes place April 8th + 9th, 2022 at Monterey County Fairgrounds in Monterey, CA.

How much are tickets?

GA tickets will start at $55.00, and VIP tickets start at $150.00. VIP is only available to purchase for guests 21 years of age and older.

What are the festival hours?

2pm to 11pm.

How many stages will there be?

There will be two stages. Our main stage is outdoors. Our second stage is indoors near the front gate. Full lineup details including set times and performances by stage will be released closer to the festival.

How long will each act be performing?

The length of set times will vary. Opening acts will have shorter set lengths while headlining performances can range up to an hour.

What health & safety protocols will be implemented for the festival?

The safety of fans, artists and staff is thoroughly planned for among event organizers and in coordination with local authorities.
We will follow all guidelines as set forth by the city of Monterey and state of California at the time of the festival. Preventative health measures (e.g. proof of negative COVID-19 test or full COVID-19 vaccination, etc.) may be required for this show. Details of any necessary measures will be communicated as early as possible and will be shared on the event/venue website and social media channels.
